Gerald Miller Lands Los Angeles Music Awards Nomination
for "jazz artist of the year"

On October 23rd at Platinum Live! (Studio City), Gerald was presented with a nomination award for "jazz artist of the year" by Los Angeles Music Awards Executive Producer, Al Bowman. This pre-awards show party was held to recognize nominees for the 2003 awards show awards. The Los Angeles Music Awards is an annual event established to help the independent artists receive the recognition they deserve. Unlike the Grammy's and American Music Awards, which are based an units sold, the Los Angeles Music Awards gives recognition to unknown acts. The criteria for this show is based upon an artist's ability to market themselves, as well as the professionalism they exhibit. The actual awards show was held at the Qtopic Center in Hollywood on November 22nd.

Throughout the past year, Gerald has been on a strenuous tour of Southern California hot jazz clubs and music venues; performing music from his debut CD, Personal Passions, with a very talented band of musicians.
